Aug 15th-19th: Pelagic Trips, LT Skuas, Phalaropes

AUG 15th and 6th: very nice pelagic trips in the morning of these two days 12 miles off the headland of Estaca de Bares, watching Sabine's Gulls, Wilson's Petrel, the 4 Skuas, Fulmar, all the common Shearwaters except Great, Common and Arctic tern, British Storm Petrel, common Dolphins, Pilot Whales, what might be a Sei's Whale and much more. In the afternoon of 15th, 15 Arctic Skuas on passage and a huge Fin Whale.

AUG 17th: 3 Grey Phalaropes, 105 Bar Tailed Godwits.

AUG 18th: 125 Long Tailed Skuas, 279 grey phalaropes, 57 pomarine skuas, 75 arctic skuas, 86 great skuas, 49 great shearwaters, 1.145 manx shearwaters, 1 Sabine's Gulls.

​AUG 19th: 
39 Arctic Skuas, 83 Sooty Shearwaters, 11 Great Shearwaters, 3 Long Tailed Skuas.

Observers from the headland: Antonio Sandoval, Ricardo Hevia, Alfonso Valderas, Antonio Martínez Pernas, Antonio Guiérrez, Pablo Gutiérrez, Pablo Lado, Isabel García-Rodeja, Alain & Veronique Verneau, Giovanni Marsicano, Astrid, Roy and Bibiana.

Aug 8th-14th: Sabine's, Fea's Petrel, Pomarines...

AUG 8th: ​1 Fulmar, several groups of waders (most of them Ringed Plovers), 1 Short-eared owl.

AUG 9th: 29 Sabine's Gulls, 188 "Commic" Terns and 1 Great Shearwater during a strong SW gale.

AUG 10th: 62 Pomarine Skuas, 3 Long Tailed Skuas, 202 Manx Shearwaters.

AUG 11th: 1 Fea's / Zino's Petrel, 1 Long Tailed Skua.

AUG 12th: 685 Cory's Shearwaters, 40 Arctic Skuas, 1 Long Tailed Skua.

AUG 13th: 441 Cory's Shearwaters.

AUG 14th: Too much rain!!

Aug 1st-7th: 2 Risso's dolphins and more

Not much passage during these days. The most interesting sightings where several groups of Scoters all mornings (up to 173 birds on Aug 3), Long Tailed Skuas on Aug 3, 4 and 5. Also the first Black Tern of the season on Aug 5, as well as the first young Northern Gannet on the same day. There was a nice number of Pomarines on Aug 5 (13 birds).
