August 2016 finnished with a few Skuas on 31th: 8 pomarines, 5 Arctic, 2 adult Long Tailed and 1 Bonxie.
September started with the same NE winds and an increasing movement of Sooty Shearwaters, as well as 11 Pomarines, 12 Arctic, 3 Long Tailed and 14 Bonxies on 1st, and 21 Arctic on 2nd. It was foggy in the coast.
Maybe due to that prevailing morning fog and the very calm weather things improved on 3rd, with the first Fea's / Zino's Petrel of the weekend at 11,15 local hour, as well as 33 Pomarines and 26 Arctic Skuas, 1 Long Tailed and 1 Bonxie.
The passage was even better on 4th with 2 Fea's / Zino's Petrel found in the evening by our finn visitors, and up to 589 Manx Shearwaters. Also 7 Long Tailed Skuas, 39 Pomarines, 15 Arctic and 34 Bonxies.
On monday 5th it was only possible to count for 2 hours in the afternoon, but the numbers were impressive for Manx Shearwaters: 1,243. Sooties: 125. In terms of Skuas: 12 Pomarines, 4 Long Tailed, 5 Bonxies.
